History is made in Southern Indiana

If you'd like to read about the historic flooding in my neck of the woods, click on over to http://kaysdays.livejournal.com/. The lake cottage that my grandpa built (construction began shortly after I was born) is intact. It sits way above the water. But the biggest dam in the chain of lakes burst Saturday morning. Yeah, that's the lake our house is on. That's our dam.

Thanks for stopping by! I am feeling better, but it's going to take a few weeks or so for this to clear up fully. I heard of the flooding & thought of you! Thank goodness you haven't been flooded ~ I feel so sorry for those around you who have! It's terrible! Our 1st heatwave has 'broken' ~ only going to be in the high 80's today! Those pics & descriptions on my blog are of where we live and a place south west of us we visited wkend before last for half a day! Unfortunately, no vacations in a while and none in the near future! (Once I get my social security disability retro and we pay off the bills, fix the trucks & open a new savings, then we're going to do something, somewhere that's far from here for at least 2 weeks!

I'll toast to longer vacations for both of us at my earliest opportunity!
